Every other box got a look, but quarterback did not. The Eagles will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
They banked enough surplus on Washington to cover a lot of smaller sins. Reaching for Marks left real value on the table behind him. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Edgerrin Cooper. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They paid sticker price for Kamari Lassiter in Round 2, Pick 5, and that is fine. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A straight-up fair deal on Chris Braswell at the Round 2 slot, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
No drama and no debate, Kamren Kinchens went about where he belonged in the 71st overall pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They took Theo Wease at par in slot 134, which is nothing to complain about. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Jaheim Bell at No. 137 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
By-the-book stuff, LaDarius Henderson at the 169th pick squarely in line with his ranking. It fills a real need, too.
T.J. Sanders at pick 172 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They paid up for Jo'Quavious Marks at the 178th overall pick when waiting would have done the job. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tahj Washington at No. 256 is the proof. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
