It is the swing that defines the weekend: Vincent Anthony Jr. in the 165th overall pick, a good 63 spots before the room expected him. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.
The Bears indulged a want in Ramsey while a need in quarterback stayed open. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
Caleb Banks at the 47th overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They read the board right and A.J. Haulcy was the payoff at Round 2, Pick 28. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Fair-plus on Jake Slaughter, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Steal is underselling it; Josiah Trotter at the Round 3 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They zigged when the board said zag, taking Kamari Ramsey at safety with quarterback open.
They let Devin Moore come to them and pounced at slot 108. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.

Trey Zuhn III at slot 246 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
