The Seahawks looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Mikail Kamara at pick 96 regardless, 56 picks early.
They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. The McCoy value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 32 they get a ballhawk on the outside, outstanding value to boot. More want than need.
They went early on Mike Washington Jr. in the 64th overall pick, and the value did not follow. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Mikail Kamara in slot 96 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Keagen Trost at the 188th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
