When a board-topper like Cody Simon slides to Round 7, Pick 12, you do not overthink it, and the Eagles did not.
For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain. Reaching for Ivey left real value on the table behind him.
They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the safety spot they never got to.
