Thirty-one other rooms let Mason Taylor slide, and the Eagles were the ones holding the card at pick 162. Highway robbery. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a problem off the edge at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Jalon Walker in slot 64 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Tyler Booker in pick 96 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They barely believed it either: Trey Amos still on the board at No. 129. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Somehow Mason Taylor was still sitting there in Round 5, Pick 23, and they pounced on premier tight end value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A tidy bit of business in the 166th pick, where Nick Nash graded well above the range. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A slide stopped in the 170th overall pick, with Logan Brown worth more than the price. It fills a real need, too.
