The Eagles treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the 137th overall pick on Nadame Tucker a full 33 spots early. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
Igbinosun at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a quarterback's worst nightmare, even if it was a touch early. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Malachi Lawrence well ahead of where he belonged. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They liked Dani Dennis-Sutton enough to skip the value, taking him in pick No. 68. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They read the board right and Skyler Bell was the payoff at Round 3, Pick 34. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A slide stopped in the 122nd overall pick, with Michael Trigg worth more than the price. It fills a real need, too.
Nadame Tucker at pick 137 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Circle this one: Davison Igbinosun at Round 5, Pick 13 is a fall that decides a draft. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Nothing to complain about; Febechi Nwaiwu went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The roster fit checks out.
Le'Veon Moss in pick 215 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
