The Cowboys spent real capital to be 25 picks early on Zach Frazier, and the board is going to hold them to it.
The Muhammad III steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 24 they get a blindside protector at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Zach Frazier at the Round 2 slot is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Marist Liufau at the 87th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A tidy little value on Cedric Gray in pick 124, a step better than break-even. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Moose Muhammad III in the 174th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Value with a capital V on Curtis Jacobs in slot 212, a genuine coup. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Nothing to complain about; Eric Gentry went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
