The Dolphins treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending slot 90 on Jeremy Moussa a full 335 spots early.
Whatever Taulia Tagovailoa becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain.
The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.
In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 21 they get a passer to set the clock by, though the board says they badly overpaid. The biggest hole, addressed.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Jeremy Moussa this early at pick 90. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Baylor Cupp in No. 155 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The roster fit checks out.
A big swing on Jack Daly at the Round 6 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They talked themselves into Evan Anderson at the 239th overall pick, and the board did not agree. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
