This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Chris Paul Jr., the No. 117 name on the board, stolen at No. 202. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Nash reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 26th overall pick they get a lead back with juice. A clean fit for the roster.
They read the board right and Tyler Warren was the payoff at pick 59. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Andrew Mukuba is a better player than slot 80 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
They will replay Barrett Carter at No. 147 for years; that is how good the value is. A minor need, but a need all the same.
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Chris Paul Jr. in the Round 6 slot, plain and simple. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Nick Nash in pick No. 236 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Jack Kiser in the 244th pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
