The Packers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Hunter Nourzad, the No. 118 name on the board, in the 169th overall pick. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 25 they get a long-term starter on the line. A clean fit for the roster.
No drama and no debate, Edgerrin Cooper went about where he belonged in the 41st pick. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They paid sticker price for T.J. Tampa in Round 2, Pick 26, and that is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Dadrion Taylor-Demerson in the Round 3 slot. A minor itch, scratched.
DJ James in pick No. 91 is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Mohamed Kamara is a better player than slot 126 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
