Somebody in pick 236 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Patriots sat still while Donovan Smith, the No. 186 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

Reaching for Henderson left real value on the table behind him. The Patriots paired the rookies with proven help, Quinn Meinerz leading the way. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
