This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: RJ Harvey, the No. 170 name on the board, stolen at No. 256. No fireworks, but a solid B.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They are betting Slater proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 31 they get a difference-maker at receiver at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Nick Emmanwori at slot 63 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and TreVeyon Henderson at pick 66 is the proof. The roster fit checks out.
Harold Fannin Jr. in the 95th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Jackson Slater at No. 132 is a conviction pick that outran the value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
You do not let a running back like RJ Harvey reach the Round 7 slot and blink. They did not. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
