Some picks age like wine; O'Donnell Fortune at No. 151 will need to, sitting 55 spots clear of his grade. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. Graham falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Job largely done: quarterback settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 16 they get a disruptive interior force, and a steal at that.
A big swing on Charles Grant at the Round 2 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They reached into another round for Kurtis Rourke, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
