Thirty-one other rooms let Isaiah Davis slide, and the Packers were the ones holding the card at slot 204. Highway robbery.

They will need Grable to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. With edge rusher, quarterback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
