Call it larceny. Chris Braswell sat on the board until the 68th overall pick, and the Commanders did not need to be asked twice.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver. The Trotter Jr. reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 4 they get a blindside protector at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Kamari Lassiter in Round 2, Pick 4 is fair value, right on his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in slot 37 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Chris Braswell in No. 68 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
No drama and no debate, Kiran Amegadjie went about where he belonged in the 100th overall pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Nice patience on Dominick Puni, who had no business lasting to the Round 4 slot. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
