Somebody took the Dolphins to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. About as rough as the board gets, and a F to prove it.
So much rides on Caleb Williams that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. That Bywater pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with edge rusher still staring back at them.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 1 they get the face of the franchise. The biggest hole, addressed.
Josh Newton in the Round 2 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Malik Washington in pick 174 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
The board had Curtis Jacobs higher than the 213th pick, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They robbed the room for Ben Bywater here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
