Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Patriots spent slot 193 on Austin Reed, a name most had 81 spots down the list. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. On value alone, McGlothern makes the weekend a net positive. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 3 they get an anchor for the offensive line. A clean fit for the roster.
Adonai Mitchell in pick No. 34 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
