Boards are made to be trusted, and the Cardinals shredded theirs for Jahvaree Ritzie. He came off 148 spots early, and the room will hear about it. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
The Alexander value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 16th pick they get a cornerstone up front, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Jihaad Campbell at the Round 2 slot is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the linebacker. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Elic Ayomanor at No. 78 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Jahvaree Ritzie at pick 114 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Darius Alexander in Round 5, Pick 14 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
