The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Vikings watched Brashard Smith slide 105 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C-.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with safety the one that mattered most.
