If confidence were a draft strategy, the Eagles would have aced it. Ahmed Hassanein at pick 128 is 79 spots clear of where he belonged.
However the rest shakes out, Stutsman at that price is a win they earned. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
They read the board right and Luther Burden III was the payoff at pick 31. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Harold Fannin Jr. at the 63rd overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Xavier Watts in pick No. 95 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Ahmed Hassanein at Round 4, Pick 27 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Steal is underselling it; Danny Stutsman at the Round 5 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A minor itch, scratched.
A linebacker of that caliber at the 164th pick is the definition of value, full stop. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Miles Frazier in Round 5, Pick 29, miles early. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
