This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Aeneas Peebles, the No. 56 name on the board, stolen at pick No. 89. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
A whole weekend of picks and safety is somehow still a want. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th overall pick they get a premier pass rusher. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
You do not let an offensive lineman like Emery Jones reach pick No. 57 and blink. They did not. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They robbed the room for Aeneas Peebles here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Noah Thomas in No. 153 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
By-the-book stuff, Xavian Sorey Jr. at slot 185 squarely in line with his ranking. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Good price on Chip Trayanum in the Round 7 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Justin Walley at pick 217 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
