Somebody took the Eagles to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.
Rosemy-Jacksaint has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 22 they get an island corner. The biggest hole, addressed.
A straight-up fair deal on Xavier Worthy at pick 53, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Payton Wilson. A minor itch, scratched.
They took Bralen Trice at par in No. 63, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They paid a round early for Cole Bishop in slot 94, more than the board wanted. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A premium they did not need to pay, Ben Sinnott a notch or two before his time. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Mason McCormick slipping to the 161st pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint at the 171st overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Kitan Oladapo in the Round 5 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The roster fit checks out.
No edge and no loss on Garret Greenfield in No. 210; it is a wash and a sensible one. A need, and now a little less of one.
