For all the boxes ticked, the Eagles skipped the loudest one: edge rusher is exactly as bare as it was. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
The Ulofoshio reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The Wilson pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 22nd overall pick they get a potential shutdown corner, reach and all. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Calen Bullock in the 50th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
No drama and no debate, Edgerrin Cooper went about where he belonged in Round 2, Pick 22. A minor itch, scratched.
Roman Wilson at pick 97 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Edefuan Ulofoshio well ahead of where he belonged. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Kitan Oladapo in slot 163 is fair value, right on his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Chau Smith-Wade at No. 172 is the proof. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Roger Rosengarten at pick No. 178 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They did well to land Nathaniel Watson in pick No. 243, just ahead of his grade. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
