The phones sank the Eagles this weekend: D.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Eagles shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

Cole has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not. The Wilson pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Amarius Mims · OT · rank 24
In the 25th pick they get a long-term starter on the line. A clean fit for the roster.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · Edgerrin Cooper · LB · rank 48
No drama and no debate, Edgerrin Cooper went about where he belonged in No. 41. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R2.18 · Pick 50 · T.J. Tampa · CB · rank 50
T.J. Tampa in the Round 2 slot is fair value, right on his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R3.10 · Pick 74 · Javon Bullard · S · rank 60
Javon Bullard at the 74th overall pick is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R3.35 · Pick 98 · Theo Johnson · TE · rank 124
Value said wait; Theo Johnson in slot 98 says they were not listening. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R4.19 · Pick 119 · Zak Zinter · OG · rank 106
Value with a capital V on Zak Zinter in pick 119, a genuine coup. It fills a real need, too.
R4.20 · Pick 120 · Isaac Guerendo · RB · rank 129
Isaac Guerendo at pick No. 120 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R5.7 · Pick 143 · Johnny Wilson · WR · rank 126
Nice patience on Johnny Wilson, who had no business lasting to Round 5, Pick 7. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R5.14 · Pick 150 · Luke McCaffrey · WR · rank 149
They took Luke McCaffrey at par in the Round 5 slot, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R5.35 · Pick 171 · Myles Cole · DE-EDGE · rank 198
A real head-scratcher, Myles Cole in Round 5, Pick 35 is miles ahead of his ranking. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R5.36 · Pick 172 · Marist Liufau · LB · rank 165
Nothing to complain about; Marist Liufau went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
R6.20 · Pick 195 · Delmar Glaze · C · rank 192
They did well to land Delmar Glaze in pick No. 195, just ahead of his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R7.36 · Pick 256 · Tarheeb Still · CB · rank 241
They let Tarheeb Still come to them and pounced at No. 256. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R7.39 · Pick 257 · Tyler Owens · S · rank 255
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Tyler Owens. The roster fit checks out.
