Nobody else had Jaden Hicks anywhere near the 53rd overall pick. The Eagles did, by 21 spots, and that gap is the whole story.
For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Odunze.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

In pick No. 22 they get a true top target at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They liked Jeremiah Trotter Jr. enough to skip the value, taking him in the 50th pick. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
