The Eagles did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Kool-Aid McKinstry fell into slot 50.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Trotter Jr. reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

In slot 22 they get a home-run threat at receiver, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
Somehow Kool-Aid McKinstry was still sitting there in the Round 2 slot, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in the 53rd overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A minor need, but a need all the same.
A slide stopped in pick 98, with Trey Benson worth more than the price. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
