Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers cashed the board's mistake on Lance: B-.

The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Bryce Lance, the 116th overall pick, roughly 26 picks past where he belonged.

Dixon has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.15 · Pick 15 · Kenyon Sadiq · TE · rank 19
In pick 15 they get a security blanket over the middle at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
R2.14 · Pick 46 · CJ Allen · LB · rank 31
A slide stopped in slot 46, with CJ Allen worth more than the price. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
R3.13 · Pick 77 · Daylen Everette · CB · rank 81
Daylen Everette at pick No. 77 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R4.16 · Pick 116 · Bryce Lance · WR · rank 90
Circle this one: Bryce Lance at No. 116 is a fall that decides a draft. The roster fit checks out.
R5.15 · Pick 155 · Beau Stephens · OG · rank 159
A straight-up fair deal on Beau Stephens at Round 5, Pick 15, value and slot in agreement. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R6.14 · Pick 195 · Thaddeus Dixon · CB · rank 220
Thaddeus Dixon at the Round 6 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R7.13 · Pick 229 · Aiden Fisher · LB · rank 229
No drama and no debate, Aiden Fisher went about where he belonged in the 229th overall pick. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
