The Jarrian Jones selection is the head-turner. The Packers reached 58 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. On value alone, Oladapo makes the weekend a net positive.
On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
They paid sticker price for Jackson Powers-Johnson in pick No. 25, and that is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Payton Wilson in pick 41 is fair value, right on his grade. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Nice patience on Kris Jenkins, who had no business lasting to No. 58. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Dominick Puni at the Round 3 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Jarrian Jones in slot 91 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A big swing on Dylan Laube at Round 4, Pick 25, well ahead of any board in the building. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Kitan Oladapo at pick No. 168. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
