The Seahawks torched the value chart for Nadame Tucker, taking him 35 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
The Rutledge steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. They went 2 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 32 they get a centerfielder for the defense at fair value. More want than need.
Steal is underselling it; D'Angelo Ponds at slot 69 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They will replay Keylan Rutledge at the 96th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Value said wait; Nadame Tucker in the 141st pick says they were not listening. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Keagen Trost at No. 188 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
