Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs bled value on every deal, hence the C.

The Chiefs lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The cost of the Jefferson reach is exactly the players who went right after him. That is a tight end worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Hit on Cooper Beebe and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.32 · Pick 64 · Cooper Beebe · OG · rank 76
A conviction pick on Cooper Beebe at the Round 2 slot that the board grades a round light. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R4.7 · Pick 107 · Isaac Guerendo · RB · rank 111
Isaac Guerendo at the 107th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R4.33 · Pick 133 · Nehemiah Pritchett · CB · rank 134
No drama and no debate, Nehemiah Pritchett went about where he belonged in slot 133. It adds depth where they could use a little.
R5.22 · Pick 158 · Luke McCaffrey · WR · rank 165
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Luke McCaffrey. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R5.36 · Pick 172 · Jordan Jefferson · DT · rank 186
Jordan Jefferson at the 172nd overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R6.9 · Pick 184 · Ty'Ron Hopper · LB · rank 177
They did well to land Ty'Ron Hopper in Round 6, Pick 9, just ahead of his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R6.44 · Pick 219 · Erick All · TE · rank 210
Erick All slid further than he should have, and pick 219 is lovely value for the tight end. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
