B
Kansas City Chiefs
Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Chiefs.

2024 NFL Draft
· 7 picks
· 1 steals
· 1 reaches
You can draft well and still miss the point. The Chiefs did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to tight end, which was the need that mattered most.
On value alone, Jones makes the weekend a net positive. The Beebe pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
They paid sticker price for Payton Wilson in the 39th pick, and that is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Cooper Beebe at the 64th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Trey Benson. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Matt Goncalves at pick No. 108 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Fair-plus on Mohamed Kamara, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Value with a capital V on Jarrian Jones in the Round 5 slot, a genuine coup. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They did well to land Luke McCaffrey in slot 172, just ahead of his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
