Cleveland Browns

The Browns cleaned up, and the board agrees: A-.

by Mikeeeeee · 2025 NFL Draft · 15 picks · 8 steals · 5 reaches
Value B
Need B
Trades B+
Future A+

The Browns treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the Round 6 slot on Dayon Hayes a full 103 spots early. This is how you run a draft, and the A- reflects it.

The Strong value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The Devin Singletary pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

Bottom line, with Mason Graham leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.12 · Pick 12 · Mason Graham · DT · rank 4
In Round 1, Pick 12 they get a disruptive interior force, outstanding value to boot.
R2.1 · Pick 33 · Tyler Warren · TE · rank 16
Tyler Warren slid further than he should have, and pick No. 33 is lovely value for the tight end. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R2.12 · Pick 44 · Jalon Walker · LB · rank 23
Somehow Jalon Walker was still sitting there in the 44th pick, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. A minor itch, scratched.
R3.1 · Pick 65 · TreVeyon Henderson · RB · rank 55
Nice patience on TreVeyon Henderson, who had no business lasting to the Round 3 slot. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R3.3 · Pick 67 · Andrew Mukuba · S · rank 87
Andrew Mukuba in No. 67 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R3.30 · Pick 94 · Cam Skattebo · RB · rank 99
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Cam Skattebo. It fills a real need, too.
R4.2 · Pick 103 · Will Howard · QB · rank 103
They paid sticker price for Will Howard in Round 4, Pick 2, and that is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R5.16 · Pick 155 · Logan Brown · OT · rank 144
A slide stopped in the 155th pick, with Logan Brown worth more than the price. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R5.26 · Pick 165 · Darius Alexander · DT · rank 126
Steal is underselling it; Darius Alexander at pick No. 165 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R6.3 · Pick 181 · Pat Bryant · WR · rank 140
Pat Bryant at No. 181 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R6.16 · Pick 194 · Dayon Hayes · DE-EDGE · rank 297
Value said wait; Dayon Hayes in the 194th overall pick says they were not listening. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R6.24 · Pick 202 · Teddye Buchanan · LB · rank 232
They reached a country mile for Teddye Buchanan at the Round 6 slot, and the board is aghast. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
R6.38 · Pick 216 · Dorian Strong · CB · rank 163
Circle this one: Dorian Strong at slot 216 is a fall that decides a draft. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R6.39 · Pick 217 · Seth McLaughlin · C · rank 241
Seth McLaughlin at pick 217 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The roster fit checks out.
R7.39 · Pick 257 · Jaydon Blue · RB · rank 316
Jaydon Blue at No. 257 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
