The rest of the league will want that one back. Cam Hart tumbling to the Giants in the Round 6 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
They punted on safety, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 6th overall pick they get a No. 1 receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Somehow Jayden Daniels was still sitting there in pick No. 39, and they pounced on premier quarterback value. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A tidy bit of business in slot 47, where T.J. Tampa graded well above the range. A need, and now a little less of one.
Bralen Trice in the Round 3 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Mekhi Wingo in pick 107 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They barely believed it either: Matt Goncalves still on the board at the 143rd pick. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
You do not let a cornerback like Cam Hart reach No. 185 and blink. They did not. The roster fit checks out.
