The Patriots did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jordan James fell into Round 7, Pick 22. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
