The rest of the league will want that one back. Jacob Cowing tumbling to the Cowboys in Round 6, Pick 41 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
The Jibunor pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 24 they get protection for the quarterback. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Devontez Walker at Round 3, Pick 16 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Max Melton slid further than he should have, and pick 87 is lovely value for the cornerback. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Dominick Puni in pick No. 97 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A premium they did not need to pay, Isaac Guerendo a notch or two before his time. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A quiet steal in the 174th overall pick: Marist Liufau for less than the market said. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Jacob Cowing in the Round 6 slot, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Richard Jibunor at the 233rd pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Hard to map this one onto the depth chart at all.
Johnny Dixon in Round 7, Pick 24 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
