You build a draft on nights like this. Adonai Mitchell had no business being available in pick 98, and the Patriots did the only sane thing and turned in the card.
Whatever Jayden Daniels becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Van Pran reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Spending an early pick on cornerback with interior defensive lineman and safety open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.
