· 7 picks
· 1 steals
· 1 reaches
They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Giants' quarterback, full stop. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Rouse pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 6th overall pick they get a passer to set the clock by. A clean fit for the roster.
Ennis Rakestraw Jr. at No. 47 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Patrick Paul in the Round 3 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Beau Brade at the 129th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Value said wait; Walter Rouse in pick 141 says they were not listening. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Cody Schrader at pick No. 178 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A need, and now a little less of one.
Good price on Tahj Washington in slot 195, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
