The Giants left with their quarterback, and a B- to match.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Drake Maye is the Giants' quarterback, full stop. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. On value alone, Jackson makes the weekend a net positive.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.5 · Pick 5 · Drake Maye · QB · rank 5
In the Round 1 slot they get a passer to set the clock by. A clean fit for the roster.
R2.5 · Pick 37 · Johnny Wilson · WR · rank 29
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Johnny Wilson at the 37th overall pick is the proof. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R2.15 · Pick 47 · Patrick Paul · OT · rank 50
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Patrick Paul. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R3.5 · Pick 69 · Kris Jenkins · DL-EDGE · rank 57
Nice patience on Kris Jenkins, who had no business lasting to Round 3, Pick 5. It fills a real need, too.
R4.5 · Pick 105 · Tate Ratledge · OG · rank 115
A reach on Tate Ratledge in slot 105; the board had better options right there. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R5.6 · Pick 142 · Khyree Jackson · CB · rank 128
Khyree Jackson at pick 142 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R6.8 · Pick 183 · Michael Barrett · LB · rank 187
Michael Barrett at No. 183 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A minor need, but a need all the same.
