If confidence were a draft strategy, the Falcons would have aced it. Caden Curry at slot 82 is 50 spots clear of where he belonged.

The Hurst steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They will regret leaving offensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.16 · Pick 48 · Christen Miller · DL · rank 59
A reach for Christen Miller in Round 2, Pick 16; a little patience would have been rewarded. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R3.18 · Pick 82 · Caden Curry · DE-EDGE · rank 132
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Caden Curry. A need, and now a little less of one.
R4.22 · Pick 122 · Ted Hurst · WR · rank 89
Circle this one: Ted Hurst at the 122nd pick is a fall that decides a draft. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R5.23 · Pick 163 · Ephesians Prysock · CB · rank 192
Ephesians Prysock at No. 163 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
R6.34 · Pick 215 · TJ Hall · CB · rank 233
A big swing on TJ Hall at pick 215, well ahead of any board in the building. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
R7.15 · Pick 231 · Kaden Wetjen · WR · rank 234
Kaden Wetjen at pick No. 231 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R7.28 · Pick 244 · Hykeem Williams · WR · rank 291
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Hykeem Williams well ahead of where he belonged. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
