The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Connor Lew, the Round 4 slot, roughly 31 picks past where he belonged. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The cost of the Stephens reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
A tidy little value on Dillon Thieneman in pick 41, a step better than break-even. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Gabe Jacas at the 47th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Steal is underselling it; Germie Bernard at pick No. 78 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Connor Lew at the 113th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Kaleb Proctor in the Round 4 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
The board had Jack Endries higher than Round 4, Pick 33, and the tight end fell to them anyway. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Beau Stephens in No. 138 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They went early on Kaytron Allen in slot 139, and the value did not follow. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
