If confidence were a draft strategy, the Cardinals would have aced it. Ty Robinson at No. 114 is 44 spots clear of where he belonged.
The Walker steal is the beam this whole class leans on. For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 16 they get an anchor for the defensive front at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
Jalon Walker in the 47th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The roster fit checks out.
No edge and no loss on Donovan Jackson in the 78th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They talked themselves into Ty Robinson at slot 114, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Somehow Dillon Gabriel was still sitting there in pick 153, and they pounced on premier quarterback value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
