They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

They will need Jordan to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
