The Dolphins clearly saw something nobody else did in Evan Anderson, taking him 41 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Eichenberg pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 33 with a little surplus value in Kool-Aid McKinstry. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They paid sticker price for Kiran Amegadjie in the 55th overall pick, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Marshawn Kneeland in the Round 3 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Christian Mahogany in Round 3, Pick 32 is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Tommy Eichenberg slid further than he should have, and slot 158 is lovely value for the linebacker. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Tahj Washington at No. 184 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Logan Lee in the Round 6 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Value said wait; Evan Anderson in pick No. 241 says they were not listening. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
