Some picks age like wine; Eric O'Neill at No. 57 will need to, sitting 210 spots clear of his grade.
They banked enough surplus on Howell to cover a lot of smaller sins. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.
A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get an anchor for the offensive line, a steep price for the projection. A clean fit for the roster.
A big swing on Eric O'Neill at the 57th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Caden Curry at pick 60 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Kalil Alexander in pick No. 89 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Cashius Howell in slot 129 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
This one needs a full-page explanation: J. Michael Sturdivant in Round 7, Pick 23, miles early. A need, and now a little less of one.
