The Bills torched the value chart for Squirrel White, taking him 187 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. A mixed bag that lands at C.

They banked enough surplus on Rodriguez to cover a lot of smaller sins. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

So much rides on Kevin Coleman Jr. that the real verdict is a season or two away.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.26 · Pick 26 · Kevin Coleman Jr. · WR · rank 165
In the 26th pick they get a No. 1 receiver, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R3.27 · Pick 91 · Kamari Ramsey · S · rank 78
Kamari Ramsey slid further than he should have, and pick 91 is lovely value for the safety. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R4.26 · Pick 126 · Jacob Rodriguez · LB · rank 52
Somehow Jacob Rodriguez was still sitting there in the 126th overall pick, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R5.25 · Pick 165 · Kaleb Proctor · DL · rank 136
Kaleb Proctor at Round 5, Pick 25 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R5.28 · Pick 168 · Jaeden Roberts · OG · rank 151
Jaeden Roberts at slot 168 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R6.1 · Pick 182 · Keagen Trost · OT · rank 186
Keagen Trost in No. 182 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R7.4 · Pick 220 · Squirrel White · WR · rank 407
This one needs a full-page explanation: Squirrel White in pick No. 220, miles early. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
