Somebody took the Giants to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.
They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The veteran additions, Justin Fields chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
The Braswell reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a home-run threat at receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.
They liked Chris Braswell enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 2, Pick 15. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Cooper Beebe. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 108 with a little surplus value in Khyree Jackson. It fills a real need, too.
No edge and no loss on Ben Sinnott in slot 140; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
