Whoever sat across the table from the Falcons should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.
They are betting Hall proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They punted on offensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
The Falcons clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 15 they get a premier pass rusher. A clean fit for the roster.
Ricky Pearsall in slot 74 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A reach on Darius Robinson in the 110th pick; the board had better options right there. A need, and now a little less of one.
A tidy little value on Cam Hart in the 142nd overall pick, a step better than break-even. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Gabe Hall at No. 189 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
