There is a lot to like until you notice quarterback is still a hole. The Cardinals never got to the one that mattered most. It lands right in the middle: a C+, no more, no less.
The cost of the Harris reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
If Kenneth Grant and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a wrecking ball inside, though they paid up to get him.
Xavier Watts at the 47th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
They paid a round early for Jermari Harris in the 78th overall pick, more than the board wanted. A minor itch, scratched.
A conviction pick on Jeffrey Bassa at pick 114 that the board grades a round light. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They took Jaylin Noel at par in No. 152, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
