After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Patriots committed. J.J. McCarthy is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Every board in the league had Laube lower, and that gap is the story. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Simpson. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
