The rest of the league will want that one back. Garret Greenfield tumbling to the Dolphins in Round 7, Pick 21 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Glaze pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
Xavier Worthy in the Round 2 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They took Jeremiah Trotter Jr. at par in No. 65, which is nothing to complain about. It fills a real need, too.
Christian Mahogany in slot 104 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A slide stopped in pick No. 158, with Justin Eboigbe worth more than the price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They liked Delmar Glaze enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 184. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Nice patience on Johnny Dixon, who had no business lasting to Round 6, Pick 23. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
You do not let a linebacker like Jaylan Ford reach the 226th overall pick and blink. They did not. A need, and now a little less of one.
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Garret Greenfield in the 241st pick, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
